Branimir Kashkanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaroslav Středa having to interfere. After 7 played minutes SK Družba Bukovany got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Pivoňka. Jaroslav Středa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borimir Stoynov in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th minute Borimir Stoynov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslav Středa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borimir Stoynov took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaroslav Středa. Jaroslav Středa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
