Ivoš Petrovič started the match with the kick off. Petr Řípa scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimír Bažo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Pirana's zone, Zdeněk Vlček stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimír Bažo came out of the goal and Zdeněk Vlček tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitalij Buchal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vladimír Solanský made a huge save. Tomáš Hoffman kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Vitalij Buchal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimír Solanský was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, TJ Sokol Sobůlky's goalkeeper Vladimír Solanský had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivoš Petrovič. Vladimír Bažo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petr Řípa in the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Petr Řípa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vladimír Bažo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimír Bažo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Jakš in the 29th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Boleslav Kozumplík was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TJ Sokol Sobůlky the free kick. The supporters of TJ Sokol Sobůlky booed when Pirana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boleslav Kozumplík didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to Pirana getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. František Stavinoha hit a great ball. With a little luck, Pirana's Vladimír Bažo got control of the ball when David Jakš tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, TJ Sokol Sobůlky's Martin Kolín got a free kick in the 58th minute. TJ Sokol Sobůlky's Vladimír Solanský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivoš Petrovič in the 59th minute of play. Ivoš Petrovič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute Ivoš Petrovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimír Solanský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Jakš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimír Bažo having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Pirana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Jakš fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vladimír Bažo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petr Řípa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If David Jakš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Pirana's Vitalij Buchal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimír Solanský made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Pirana's Miloš Soudek was substituted for Vitalij Buchal. 94 minutes into the match, Petr Řípa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vladimír Bažo, 2-2.
