After 12 minutes, Josef Homolka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slavoj Český Těšín and the AC Sparta Praha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Josef Homolka kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Bogdan Czarnecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Šimčík, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 27 minutes, Antonín Skoupil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slavoj Český Těšín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonín Skoupil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jiří Hurt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. During the 32nd minute of the match Josef Homolka completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Josef Homolka a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of AC Sparta Praha booed when Slavoj Český Těšín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Homolka didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Slavoj Český Těšín's Leopold Švagr got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jan Šimčík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bogdan Czarnecki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomáš Vocásek in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Czarnecki saved AC Sparta Praha from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Šimčík to make the kick off. After 85 played minutes AC Sparta Praha got a freekick which was hit by Ondřej Klimek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Šimčík in the 90th minute of play forced AC Sparta Praha's goalkeeper Bogdan Czarnecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dušan Černík charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dušan Černík the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Slavoj Český Těšín booed when AC Sparta Praha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Černík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Šimčík might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Czarnecki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Šimčík ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute, Tomáš Vocásek made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Czarnecki. AC Sparta Praha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Slavoj Český Těšín fully deserved thier win.
