The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jarmil Bůžek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdeněk Stoklasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdeněk Stoklasa in the 14th minute of play forced SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's goalkeeper Jarmil Bůžek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaromír Kubánek hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Nicolas Prokš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilém Soldát, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarmil Bůžek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaromír Kubánek went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Slovan Liberec getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jiří Švaříček hit a great ball. Otomar Plíva might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Prokš. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otomar Plíva ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarmil Bůžek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdeněk Stoklasa in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute František Jíra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarmil Bůžek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Konstantin Opatrný to make the kick off. Nicolas Prokš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantin Opatrný, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Čeněk Velebil struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Nicolas Prokš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Slavoj Vyšehrad. SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jarmil Bůžek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SK Slavoj Vyšehrad from getting a goal against them. A nice corner shot did that Tomáš Bydžovský got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jarmil Bůžek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jarmil Bůžek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from František Jíra in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute FC Slovan Liberec were awarded a corner. Tomáš Bydžovský went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to FC Slovan Liberec's Ivan Brůna getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With an all-out effort, FC Slovan Liberec's Jarmil Bůžek threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaromír Kubánek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 68th minute FC Slovan Liberec were awarded a corner. Tomáš Bydžovský went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomáš Bydžovský made a great header on FC Slovan Liberec's corner, it was just that SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Jarmil Bůžek managed to reach the ball for a save. Nicolas Prokš stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantin Opatrný's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. František Jíra had several of the SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Jarmil Bůžek as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otomar Plíva in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Slovan Liberec's goalkeeper Nicolas Prokš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Zdeněk Stoklasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarmil Bůžek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, SK Slavoj Vyšehrad's Otomar Plíva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Prokš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Martin Trunda fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Slovan Liberec's protests and gave Martin Trunda a yellow card for diving instead. 91 minutes into the match, FC Slovan Liberec's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Opatrný came free, but Nicolas Prokš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otomar Plíva scored 3-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Prokš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
