Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolf Berger in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilja Grossmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Derya Dağasan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derya Dağasan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Alberto Erni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester Varzia. Elmer Duvantier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wagenhausen's Alberto Erni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Wagenhausen from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Wagenhausen's Alberto Erni got control of the ball when Derya Dağasan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Derya Dağasan in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alberto Erni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nicholas Räss hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elmer Duvantier to make the kick off. Alberto Erni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmer Duvantier in the 53rd minute of play. Luca Lugg kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Alberto Erni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derya Dağasan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 76th match minute, Manchester Varzia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Räss to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Wagenhausen's Oluf Kuhn got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wagenhausen's zone, Derya Dağasan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Erni came out of the goal and Derya Dağasan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes Manchester Varzia got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Räss. If Oluf Kuhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graciano Huerliman kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes, Manchester Varzia's Gerry Peavler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Erni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester Varzia reached it. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Manchester Varzia lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
