Nikolai Dreher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignazio Guerra went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 24 minutes, Igor Schwerzmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. LUZERN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Schwerzmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. LUZERN's Nicola Scherer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimund Glockner in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Buix's Marcel Scherer got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Fabien De Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikolai Dreher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nicola Scherer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Kost in the 31st minute. Miguel Kost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nicola Scherer made a huge save. The supporters of Buix booed when F.C. LUZERN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giancarlo Riedweg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Buix's Raimund Glockner fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 44 played minutes F.C. LUZERN got a freekick which was hit by Giancarlo Riedweg. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C. LUZERN were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Raimund Glockner made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Buix got a corner. F.C. LUZERN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Havel Gauthier ran over to the corner to take the kick. Buix's Havel Gauthier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicola Scherer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Buix's Nikolai Dreher got control of the ball when Igor Schwerzmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimund Glockner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nicola Scherer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, F.C. LUZERN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giancarlo Riedweg to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Kost struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. LUZERN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicola Scherer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Kost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Buix's Miguel Kost sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicola Scherer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raimund Glockner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicola Scherer having to make a save. Nicola Scherer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimund Glockner in the 85th minute of play. Raimund Glockner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicola Scherer having to interfere. Igor Schwerzmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Buix supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching F.C. LUZERN's performance. The match ended with a win for F.C. LUZERN.
