After 21 minutes of play, FC Rapid Lugano's Ulf Wenzel made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rupert Blum was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Roiss Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rupert Blum should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Rapid Lugano getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jerom Vonarburg hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Mario Reinhard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Blum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rupert Blum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Bühler in the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Reinhard in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rupert Blum saved Roiss Futebol Clube from getting behind.
