Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renato Menz got the match started through his kick off. Moritz Ruckli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Schwander, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The supporters of Münchenstein AC booed when Rothrist AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Mehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cody Bollhalder hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Raphael Schenk fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rothrist AC's protests and gave Raphael Schenk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Münchenstein AC booed when Rothrist AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Schenk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Silvio Kirchhofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes, Rothrist AC's Cody Bollhalder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philip Stinde came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rothrist AC reached it. In the 18th minute, Rothrist AC's Raphael Schenk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Rothrist AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Menz to maneuver through the defense. Moritz Ruckli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Leu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, Münchenstein AC's Dorian Schwander made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moritz Ruckli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Renato Menz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Stinde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Justus Hager managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rothrist AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Justus Hager was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Stinde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rothrist AC's Raphael Schenk got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Raphael Schenk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Decorvet was the one to do the kick off. Raphael Schenk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Stinde having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Dorian Schwander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Moritz Ruckli. The goal made the score 1-2. Moritz Ruckli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emile Leu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emile Leu in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moritz Ruckli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cody Bollhalder hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Stefan Brousse took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip Stinde. Münchenstein AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rothrist AC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Dorian Schwander scored to the left of an out of position Moritz Ruckli, making the score, 1-4. Emile Leu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Rothrist AC got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Brousse. The Münchenstein AC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
