Jan Boog didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, INTERNAZIONALE . FC's Bernd Mathis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Montagny HC's Paulus Brandstetter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Vehma in the 13th minute of play. Titus Steiner let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 15th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. In the 19th match minute, Montagny HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Boog to maneuver through the defense. If Titus Steiner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th play minute Titus Steiner came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Giancarlo Nielispach. 2-0. Paulus Brandstetter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Bargherr, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Vehma in the 31st minute of play forced Montagny HC's goalkeeper Paulus Brandstetter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Montagny HC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Peder Mueller hit a great ball. William Bargherr struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Paulus Brandstetter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTERNAZIONALE . FC. In the 37th minute, Titus Steiner made a precise shot to the right of Giancarlo Nielispach. INTERNAZIONALE . FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Montagny HC's Donald Kunze slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giancarlo Nielispach. That made the score 4-0 after 44 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donald Kunze made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Bargherr in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulus Brandstetter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Montagny HC's goalkeeper Paulus Brandstetter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregor Baldini. 60 minutes into the match, Montagny HC's Titus Steiner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giancarlo Nielispach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute of the match Joel Bonenfant shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giancarlo Nielispach showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of INTERNAZIONALE . In the 90th minute, Titus Steiner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
