The long shot by Fritz Aloisia in the 15th minute really tested Tomas Lucchesi's skills. Guy Lemmenmeier's late challenge caught a Birtschen HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philipp Rausis in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Lucchesi saved Birtschen HC from getting behind. If Hugo Freuler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philipp Rausis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Lucchesi having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
