Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Paul Masciolo got free in front of the goal in the 4th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tomas Lucchesi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Paul Masciolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Masciolo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tomas Lucchesi made a huge save. Oliver Beyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ruppen having to interfere. Gabriel Ruppen came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Birtschen HC's Hugo Freuler. But to his dismay, Hugo Freuler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Paul Masciolos short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Tomas Lucchesi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Guido Lüthi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Flerden HC's Thommy Trucco got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rainier Kolly charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainier Kolly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Birtschen HC booed when Flerden HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainier Kolly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Chiavetta's late challenge caught a Birtschen HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Chiavetta helped the player get up and apologised. Flerden HC's Paul Masciolo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Guido Lüthi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Lucchesi was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Guido Lüthi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tomas Lucchesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Felix Elmiger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Lüthi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Tomas Lucchesi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flerden HC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Oliver Beyer made the kick off in the second half. Guido Lüthi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severin Wyss's late challenge caught a Flerden HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severin Wyss helped the player get up and apologised. Flerden HC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norman Moos in the 61st minute. Flerden HC's Norman Moos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomas Lucchesi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Birtschen HC's Hugo Freuler got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Birtschen HC's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Lüthi came free, but Tomas Lucchesi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flerden HC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Birtschen HC to leave the ground with a draw.
