Spectators: 7771 (Terracing: 5829, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) FC Delay Sport's Paco Zihlmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Ramseier in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Delay Sport's goalkeeper Raphael Busel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Tornadofires's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Zihlmann came free, but Klaus Sommer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paco Zihlmann came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC Delay Sport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paco Zihlmann couldn't finish the play. FC Delay Sport's Joachim Malatesta got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Tornadofires's goal looked a bit too open when Fidelis Netzer came free, but Klaus Sommer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Joachim Malatesta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Klaus Sommer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Tornadofires getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Arnault Niederhauser hit a great ball. When Malte Buholzer fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Klaus Sommer came out of the goal and Paco Zihlmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klaus Sommer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Zihlmann in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joachim Malatesta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaus Sommer was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Klaus Sommer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paco Zihlmann's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Urs Charette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tornadofires's zone, Fidelis Netzer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Sommer came out of the goal and Fidelis Netzer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidelis Netzer scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaus Sommer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joachim Malatesta struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Klaus Sommer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Delay Sport. A hard shot by Friedel von Felten from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Raphael Busel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Raphael Busel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Roth in the 45th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torsten Ramseier in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raphael Busel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torsten Ramseier to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Torsten Ramseier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Malatesta got free with Klaus Sommer in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Holger Bayer had to leave the field with a concussion. Arnault Niederhauser kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Derek Pfiffer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Sommer having to interfere. Klaus Sommer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paco Zihlmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Paco Zihlmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Klaus Sommer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidelis Netzer kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Joachim Malatesta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Klaus Sommer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Joachim Malatesta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Delay Sport's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnault Niederhauser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Delay Sport's Derek Pfiffer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Klaus Sommer. That made the score 1-3 after 89 minutes of play. FC Delay Sport's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
