Bertrand Neustadt started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FC Green Devils booed when Rafz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Hauri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerd Zumbrunnen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifatius Cotti in the 5th minute. With a little luck, Rafz's Gerd Zumbrunnen got control of the ball when Bonifatius Cotti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastien Ritter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Schneider having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Erik Cadotsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rafz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Cadotsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerd Zumbrunnen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifatius Cotti went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Sebastien Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, Rafz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Hauri to maneuver through the defense. Bonifatius Cotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gerd Zumbrunnen made a huge save. Gerd Zumbrunnen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertrand Neustadt's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, FC Green Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Cadotsch came free, but Remo Schneider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Schneider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastien Ritter in the 38th minute of play. Bonifatius Cotti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bertrand Neustadt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 48th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastien Ritter to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastien Ritter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Remo Schneider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastien Ritter struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Remo Schneider didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rafz. Mark Steiner charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Steiner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mark Steiner hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Rafz's Erik Cadotsch got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Steiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
