Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christian Wocher got the match started through his kick off. Nepomuk Croteau hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Nicolaj Füglister managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Karsten Gerner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidelius Bürgler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maladers booed when FC Thun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robby Reich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karsten Gerner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raphael Cirella showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Nathan Trudeau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Thun's Karsten Gerner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolai Rast in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Maladers booed when FC Thun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robby Reich didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Christian Wocher came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the FC Thun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Wocher couldn't finish the play. Christian Wocher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Schuster having to interfere. Robby Reich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Schuster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Tobias Schuster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Miani, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Jefferson Miani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolai Rast made a kick off. Christian Wocher struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tobias Schuster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Thun. 56 minutes into the match, FC Thun's Jefferson Miani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Schuster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Nepomuk Croteau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathan Trudeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Jefferson Miani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jefferson Miani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, FC Thun's Jefferson Miani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Schuster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute Raphael Cirella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Gerner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Maladers's goalkeeper Tobias Schuster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nathan Trudeau. If Christian Wocher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Miani was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. FC Thun's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nathan Trudeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Maladers's zone, Jefferson Miani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Schuster came out of the goal and Jefferson Miani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Wocher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Schuster having to interfere. Nathan Trudeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
