After a rather tough play, Lausanne Sport Engelberg's Dave Bircher got a free kick in the 20th minute. Eusebius Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ephraim Haller's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Denis Müller struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Bobby Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lausanne Sport Engelberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ephraim Haller in the 41st minute of play forced Lausanne Sport Engelberg's goalkeeper Eusebius Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacky Schwartz during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Ephraim Haller came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the FC Kuh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ephraim Haller couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lausanne Sport Engelberg's goalkeeper Eusebius Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ephraim Haller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Kuh played a much better game than Lausanne Sport Engelberg and deserved their victory. The Lausanne Sport Engelberg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
