After taking down the ball on SC Veltheim's corner Francis Burgermeister fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan Netzer quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10th match minute, SC Veltheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Montechiaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Alex Ciancone shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolphe Lang showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Virgil Suppiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrizius Lampron in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolphe Lang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolphe Lang didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cagnagob's Patrizius Lampron shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrizius Lampron in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolphe Lang saved SC Veltheim from getting behind. Helmuth Siedler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rodolphe Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cagnagob's Jan Netzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Suppiger in the 33rd minute of play. Rodolphe Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrizius Lampron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathan Favre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Cagnagob were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgil Suppiger to make the kick off. The referee ignored SC Veltheim's protests and gave Hans Montechiaro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Hans Montechiaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Helmuth Siedler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cagnagob's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helmuth Siedler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nathan Favre hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Virgil Suppiger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Patrizius Lampron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nathan Favre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
