With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Willi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Art Helfenstein saved Chlötzlibieger from getting behind. Franziskus Vinciguerra hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Chlötzlibieger's Art Helfenstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philip Vogel in the 12th minute of play. Falk Portmann struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Kurt Frankfurter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chlötzlibieger. 18 minutes into the game, Chlötzlibieger's Falk Portmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kurt Frankfurter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Falk Portmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Emery Palorini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kurt Frankfurter. The goal made the score 2-0. Kurt Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emery Palorini in the 35th minute of the match. Salomon Frei kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Franziskus Vinciguerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Art Helfenstein showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Falk Portmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chlötzlibieger's supporters rose to their feet, but Falk Portmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Frankfurter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Emery Palorini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The audience was convinced that Dan Willi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Art Helfenstein was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Chlötzlibieger's Falk Portmann got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Thuner Löwen booed when Chlötzlibieger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geordi Sforza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emery Palorini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emery Palorini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kurt Frankfurter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, FC Thuner Löwen's goal looked a bit too open when Falk Portmann came free, but Kurt Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Philip Vogel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emery Palorini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kurt Frankfurter having to make a save. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Thuner Löwen! The referee gave Chlötzlibieger a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amadeus Beaudry, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Thuner Löwen's Kurt Frankfurter. 4-0. Chlötzlibieger walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
