Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sylvain Breitenstein started the match with the kick off. If Piero Meister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Favian Duplanty didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fletcher Wirz went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Rovray's Piero Meister got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fletcher Wirz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rovray booed when Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. LLoyd Weingartner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salomon Gosselin's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Favian Duplanty - 0-2 was put on the score board in the 14th minute. Favian Duplanty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fletcher Wirz in the 17th minute of the match. Fletcher Wirz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favian Duplanty having to interfere. Favian Duplanty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piero Meister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Kaspar Krebs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Favian Duplanty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Piero Meister cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Favian Duplanty was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nikita Burkhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Wirz in the 35th minute of play forced Union FC's goalkeeper Favian Duplanty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sylvain Breitenstein fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Union FC's protests and gave Sylvain Breitenstein a yellow card for diving instead. Sylvain Breitenstein kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Fletcher Wirz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LLoyd Weingartner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Union FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rovray were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Piero Meister to make the kick off. After having played for 61 minutes, LLoyd Weingartner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but LLoyd Weingartner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fletcher Wirzs short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Favian Duplanty to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sylvain Breitenstein got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 77th minute, Sylvain Breitenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salomon Gosselin, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Fletcher Wirz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Favian Duplanty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piero Meister, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Piero Meister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Favian Duplanty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Union FC's Michail De Inierry got a free kick in the 90th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rovray walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
