Union FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Würenlingen the free kick. In the 7th minute, Sylvain Breitenstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. South Würenlingen's Fiore Howald got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Fiore Howald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Favian Duplanty was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sylvain Breitenstein hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Loris Anderjoli hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. LLoyd Weingartner's late challenge caught a South Würenlingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. LLoyd Weingartner helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, LLoyd Weingartner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Favian Duplanty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiore Howald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Domingo Burri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. South Würenlingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Union FC the free kick. The supporters of Union FC booed when South Würenlingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Burri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Loris Anderjoli during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, South Würenlingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loris Anderjoli to maneuver through the defense. South Würenlingen's Fiore Howald got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pier Mattmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 30th minute of the match Domingo Burri completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Domingo Burri a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 30 played minutes South Würenlingen got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Burri. 33 minutes into the game, South Würenlingen's Pier Mattmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Favian Duplanty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, South Würenlingen's Fiore Howald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Favian Duplanty narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Union FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pier Mattmann came free, but Favian Duplanty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Favian Duplanty didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pier Mattmann went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Pier Mattmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Favian Duplanty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pier Mattmann to make the kick off. Pier Mattmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pier Mattmann struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Favian Duplanty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Würenlingen. Loris Anderjoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favian Duplanty having to interfere. If Loris Anderjoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th play minute Pier Mattmann came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Favian Duplanty. 0-5. Pier Mattmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Favian Duplanty made a huge save. Pier Mattmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Favian Duplanty having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Union FC's goalkeeper Favian Duplanty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. South Würenlingen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
