After a rather tough play, Melano's Thommy Greter got a free kick in the 11th minute. Melano's Dario Doucet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Muench in the 17th minute of play. Thommy Greter was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Melano's Thommy Greter got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Melano's Adalbero Ferrante made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lyonel Fossati was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adalbero Ferrante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Manfred Wider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. A wasted opportunity for Forel SC. Andre Gier hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Manfred Wider got in the 33rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dario Doucet handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalbero Ferrante to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leopoldo Muench came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Forel SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Muench couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Muench fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Doucet having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfred Wider in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Doucet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Muench in the 73rd minute of play forced Melano's goalkeeper Dario Doucet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalbero Ferrante in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lyonel Fossati, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 76th minute Leopoldo Muench shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Doucet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Doucet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfred Wider's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Leopoldo Muench received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dario Doucet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Forel SC defense, Adalbero Ferrante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lyonel Fossati. The Forel SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lyonel Fossati should have stopped the shot. Manfred Wider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dario Doucet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Melano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
