Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lionel Gloor started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Saland FC booed when Mex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cody Bouchard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Stempfel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Bianco in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Mex FC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Seifert. After 9 played minutes, Saland FC's Tomas Wider shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norberto Stempfel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saland FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rene Rast managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Rast was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Stempfel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mex FC's Norberto Stempfel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Bianco in the 12th minute of play. Rene Rast received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Norberto Stempfel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Stempfel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Rast, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rene Rast fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Stempfel having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Saland FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Gabriel. Saland FC's Mac Donders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Saland FC from getting a goal against them. Mac Donders was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Lionel Gloor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lionel Gloor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 39th minute, Raphael Bianco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Stempfel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Bianco in the 45th minute of the match. If Rene Rast had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael Bianco made a kick off. Saland FC's Mac Donders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cody Bouchard in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 53 minutes, Cody Bouchard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cody Bouchard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Stempfel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Bianco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Raphael Bianco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Norberto Stempfel, 1-1. If Raphael Bianco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Rast blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Stempfel having to make a save. Raphael Bianco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Norberto Stempfel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Saland FC's Rene Rast nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto Stempfel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Raphael Biancos short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Norberto Stempfel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 78 played minutes Mex FC got a freekick which was hit by Marinus Amsler. In the 82nd minute of the match Tomas Wider shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Stempfel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Saland FC's Renato Soucy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Stempfel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Mex FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raphael Bianco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Raphael Bianco came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Saland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Bianco couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Mex FC's goalkeeper Norberto Stempfel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Rast. Saland FC played a much better game than Mex FC and deserved their victory. The Mex FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
