But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Lenzin couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, FC Länk dänk's Federico Duerr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quint Montandon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 38th minute, Scott Bieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Faoug HC's zone, Noel Lenzin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quint Montandon came out of the goal and Noel Lenzin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faoug HC's Quint Montandon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Faoug HC from getting a goal against them. 48 minutes into the match, FC Länk dänk's goal looked a bit too open when Errol Lang came free, but Jürgen Ritieni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Errol Lang to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Faoug HC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Lenzin came free, but Quint Montandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faoug HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Duerr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Quint Montandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Duerr, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Noel Lenzin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Faoug HC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Scott Bieri hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Faoug HC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Duerr came free, but Quint Montandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that FC Länk dänk were the better team. FC Länk dänk's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
