When John Rösli fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Volta's protests and gave John Rösli a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dominique Joho was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roby Sommerhalder during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fred-Marc Hügli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amos Mändli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Fred-Marc Hügli made a huge save. Dominique Joho's late challenge caught a Fc Volta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keith Lejeune didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Volta. Fc Volta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Miani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Igor Catalusci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC AARAU's Dominique Joho got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nico Miani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith Lejeune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Miani, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
