Christian Frankfurter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jud Mastroiacovo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fc Olten's Christian Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Trucco in the 8th minute of play. Christian Frankfurter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Trucco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th match minute, Fc Olten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poldi Schenk to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Fremont Ettlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexej Graber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fremont Ettlin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alexej Graber 15 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fremont Ettlin in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexej Graber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC Rietli's Jarik Hörler got a free kick in the 21st minute. FC Rietli's Alexej Graber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC Rietli from getting a goal against them. Fremont Ettlin struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alexej Graber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Olten. When Nico Straumann came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC Rietli fans jumped to their feet. Leon Wicki hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Poldi Schenk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Olten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Rietli the free kick. Fc Olten were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
