After a defensive mix-up in Belfaux AC's zone, Ivan Lehmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conor Eberhart came out of the goal and Ivan Lehmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Farid Finger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowland Bärtschi in the 31st minute of play. Farid Finger made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mathieu Walder sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Henri Stinde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conor Eberhart. Belfaux AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henri Stinde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 41st minute, LucaLucan Waldburger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Thun 1898 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Farid Finger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathieu Walder, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. FC Thun 1898's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
