After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Kevin Soltermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scharmadläger SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Soltermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conor Eberhart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Soltermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conor Eberhart having to interfere. Arnold Hottiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Walder in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Sonevoga during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Belfaux AC booed when Scharmadläger SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Sonevoga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belfaux AC's Mathieu Walder got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scharmadläger SC's Arnold Hottiger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathieu Walder in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Scharmadläger SC's zone, Rowland Bärtschi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Hottiger came out of the goal and Rowland Bärtschi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Kevin Soltermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scharmadläger SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Soltermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rowland Bärtschi made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Mathieu Walder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Hottiger. Scharmadläger SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathieu Walder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 63 minutes, Rowland Bärtschi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belfaux AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowland Bärtschi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matthieu Dufresne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Scharmadläger SC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Francesco Verdon hit a great ball. Scharmadläger SC's Kevin Soltermann got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathieu Walder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Arnold Hottiger made a huge save. The Belfaux AC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
