In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Porto's goalkeeper Bruno Waller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to F.C. Porto getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tade Manta hit a great ball. Kerwin Nyfeler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garfield Zinniker in the 9th minute of the match. Nicholas Seitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Waller having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, F.C. Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Lüthi came free, but Bruno Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicholas Seitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, F.C. Porto's Enrique Büto got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Lüthi in the 21st minute of play forced F.C. Porto's goalkeeper Bruno Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Büto hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. F.C. Porto's Bruno Waller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Lüthi in the 23rd minute of play. Bruno Waller stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurice Lüthi's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Kerwin Nyfeler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garfield Zinniker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kerwin Nyfeler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garfield Zinniker in the 33rd minute of the match. Kerwin Nyfeler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garfield Zinniker, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthew Amlehn during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Band of Brothers got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Amlehn. F.C. Porto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Graham Stegmeier in the 39th minute. Graham Stegmeier made a great header on F.C. Porto's corner, it was just that Band of Brothers's Kerwin Nyfeler managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uli Obrecht in the 40th minute of play forced F.C. Porto's goalkeeper Bruno Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Seitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Band of Brothers booed when F.C. Porto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tade Manta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Maurice Lüthi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Waller was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Lüthi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Maurice Lüthi came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Band of Brothers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Lüthi couldn't finish the play. In the 58th play minute Nicholas Seitz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bruno Waller. 0-3. Band of Brothers's Nicholas Seitz got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Maurice Lüthi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruno Waller. Maurice Lüthi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Kerwin Nyfeler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milo Zäch in the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of F.C. Porto booed when Band of Brothers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Jurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurice Lüthi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Porto's zone, Maurice Lüthi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Waller came out of the goal and Maurice Lüthi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurice Lüthi might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Waller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurice Lüthi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute Maurice Lüthi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Seitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bruno Waller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garfield Zinniker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kerwin Nyfeler having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Milo Zäch managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Milo Zäch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kerwin Nyfeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Band of Brothers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than F.C. Porto.
