In the 3rd minute Stefan Malatesta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Forrester Crook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Malatesta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Forrester Crook read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Fc Kuny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonhard Wirth to maneuver through the defense. Jose Di Luca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Forrester Crook having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Jose Di Luca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Forrester Crook was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricius Tano hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Fc Kuny defense, Stefan Malatesta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Forrester Crook. The Fc Kuny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Forrester Crook should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Blau-Weiss Tristan's zone, Herbert Pascolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roby Donsante came out of the goal and Herbert Pascolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Ludovico Schallberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert Pascolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Herbert Pascolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Di Luca struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Forrester Crook didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blau-Weiss Tristan. Forrester Crook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Di Luca, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th match minute, Fc Kuny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatus Pfeifer to maneuver through the defense. Blau-Weiss Tristan's Lawrence Coccia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Forrester Crook in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herbert Pascolo was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Fc Kuny got a freekick which was hit by Mikel Kottmann. Jose Di Luca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute, Renatus Pfeifer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Patricius Tano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Blau-Weiss Tristan booed when Fc Kuny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wolfgang Handschin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
