After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Garfield Zinniker managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Garfield Zinniker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Trommler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danny Trommler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garfield Zinniker in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bignarorc's zone, Milo Zäch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Trommler came out of the goal and Milo Zäch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Trommler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garfield Zinniker's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Enrique Büto charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Büto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, F.C. Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Büto to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Gilles Twerenbold from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Bruno Waller's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Alvarez Tschopp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Waller having to interfere. After 26 played minutes F.C. Porto got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Büto. Tade Manta kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Alvarez Tschopp might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Waller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvarez Tschopp ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th match minute, Bignarorc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Eiholzer to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Waller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gianni Mullis in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvarez Tschopp to make the kick off. Garfield Zinniker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Danny Trommler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th play minute Garfield Zinniker came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Danny Trommler. 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, F.C. Porto's Garfield Zinniker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Trommler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Porto's goalkeeper Bruno Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrik Heffliger charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrik Heffliger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Patrik Heffliger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Garfield Zinniker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Trommler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Alvarez Tschopp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bignarorc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Alvarez Tschopp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bignarorc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvarez Tschopp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96thth minute of the game Eugenio Eiholzer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Porto's Bruno Waller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
