After taking down the ball on Blau-Weiss Tristan's corner Lawrence Coccia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kerwin Nyfeler quite easily take care of the ball. Matthew Amlehn charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthew Amlehn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matthew Amlehn kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Di Luca got free with Kerwin Nyfeler in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blau-Weiss Tristan's Stefan Malatesta was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nicholas Seitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roby Donsante having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Blau-Weiss Tristan got a freekick which was hit by Patricius Tano. With a little luck, Band of Brothers's Kerwin Nyfeler got control of the ball when Jose Di Luca tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Lüthi in the 40th minute of play forced Blau-Weiss Tristan's goalkeeper Roby Donsante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Malatesta to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Uli Obrecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the game, Jose Di Luca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kerwin Nyfeler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricius Tano kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Maurice Lüthi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Band of Brothers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Lüthi couldn't finish the play. Stefan Malatesta struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Kerwin Nyfeler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blau-Weiss Tristan. Uli Obrecht's late challenge caught a Blau-Weiss Tristan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uli Obrecht helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Uli Obrecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kerwin Nyfeler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Di Luca in the 79th minute of play. Blau-Weiss Tristan's Stefan Malatesta got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Band of Brothers's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Malatesta came free, but Kerwin Nyfeler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Nicholas Seitz made a precise shot to the right of Roby Donsante. Blau-Weiss Tristan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Nicholas Seitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Maurice Lüthi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roby Donsante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fiore Sonsini hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Blau-Weiss Tristan got a freekick which was hit by Patricius Tano. Band of Brothers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
