Monte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Howald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans-Ruedi Winkel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurenzo Lischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Hellmüller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Howald in the 26th minute of the match. Monkey Gang's Laurenzo Lischer got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pietro Zoller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 minutes of play Monte's Pierre Nietlispach was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Monte getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pierre Nietlispach hit a great ball. Laurenzo Lischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans-Ruedi Winkel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurenzo Lischer in the 46th minute of the match. Jim Howald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Howald made a kick off. Hans-Ruedi Winkel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurenzo Lischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Laurenzo Lischer succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurenzo Lischer in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans-Ruedi Winkel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hans-Ruedi Winkel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laurenzo Lischer went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Fabrizio Stäheli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute.
