Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maik Mayer started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Schwamendingen United booed when Piandera AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steffen Frost didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Ascani got free with Freddy Iosif in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Schwamendingen United's zone, Adrian Bättig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Gmür came out of the goal and Adrian Bättig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Gmür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maik Mayer in the 11th minute of play. Maik Mayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sven Gmür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Piandera AC got a freekick which was hit by Steffen Frost. If Sten Ascani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Bättig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Piandera AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedric Fiadone to maneuver through the defense. Sten Ascani struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Freddy Iosif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schwamendingen United. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flo Reuteler in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddy Iosif prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Freddy Iosif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Ascani in the 33rd minute. Flo Reuteler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poldi Lessard's late challenge caught a Schwamendingen United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Poldi Lessard helped the player get up and apologised. Poldi Lessard kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Flo Reuteler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Iosif having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the match, Sten Ascani got a very nice opportunity to score, but Freddy Iosif was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Adrian Bättig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sven Gmür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maik Mayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Gmür having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flo Reuteler made a kick off. Adrian Bättig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Gmür having to interfere. Sten Ascani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flo Reuteler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piandera AC's goalkeeper Freddy Iosif, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Flo Reuteler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Iosif was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, Schwamendingen United's Sven Gmür got control of the ball when Adrian Bättig tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Adrian Bättig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
