Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mosa FC's Alfonso Lafranchi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Lussier was a little too slow when Alfonso Lafranchi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Andor Konig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Labrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cagliari booed when Mosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Hauser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Lussier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Lafranchi in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Alfonso Lafranchi rounded Cagliari's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Peter Lussier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Santschi in the 33rd minute of play. Carl Rutten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Andor Konig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Lussier made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Thierry Imhof sent off a good shot on target. Jared Hofmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Peter Lussier made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, Cagliari's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Santschi came free, but Peter Lussier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nick Schlatter during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Nick Schlatter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Lussier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pirmin Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pirmin Guerra in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Lussier saved Cagliari from getting behind. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosa FC's goalkeeper Andor Konig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andor Konig made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jay Labrie sent off a good shot on target. Jay Labrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Lussier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pirmin Guerra in the 69th minute of the match. If Harald Hegner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Cagliari got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Naumann. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Lafranchi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Lussier was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Cagliari's Harald Hegner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andor Konig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andor Konig came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Cagliari's Jay Labrie. But to his dismay, Jay Labrie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 86th minute Pirmin Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Lussier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes, Mosa FC's Jesko Jutz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peter Lussier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mosa FC reached it. Pirmin Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Peter Lussier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Cagliari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Pfändler to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Mosa FC's Alfonso Lafranchi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Lussier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mosa FC had played much better football throughout.
