When Salomo Picca fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wikon's protests and gave Salomo Picca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Wikon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salomo Picca to maneuver through the defense. Regnier Straub struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ulric Apicella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BSC YB. After a defensive mix-up in Wikon's zone, Thaddäus Wyder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulric Apicella came out of the goal and Thaddäus Wyder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Thaddäus Wyder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 18 in the game by Regnier Straub from a close distance when the talented Ulric Apicella managed to make a qualified save. Wikon's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Wikon defense, Regnier Straub kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulric Apicella. The Wikon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulric Apicella should have stopped the shot. Wikon's Ulric Apicella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Wikon from getting a goal against them. The nice shot from Regnier Straub in the 25thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ulric Apicella had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Giusto Pascolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ulric Apicella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thaddäus Wyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Salomo Picca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. Salomo Picca kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Regnier Straub put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ulric Apicella. With his leg Ulric Apicella managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when BSC YB's Regnier Straub fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With 45 minutes on the clock, Raoul Hottiger commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wikon! The referee gave BSC YB a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Battista Thelen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wikon's Ulric Apicella. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Thaddäus Wyder made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wikon's Nicolas Trasatti got a free kick in the 54th minute. After recieving a nice pass, BSC YB's Battista Thelen tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thaddäus Wyder in the 62nd minute of play forced Wikon's goalkeeper Ulric Apicella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulric Apicella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Regnier Straub's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Thaddäus Wyder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulric Apicella having to interfere. Ulric Apicella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thaddäus Wyder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience cheered when Battista Thelen's long shot passed Ulric Apicella's right side. It was 4-0, 74 minutes into the match. Regnier Straub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When BSC YB's Regnier Straub in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wikon's goalie prevented a goal. 88 minutes into the game, BSC YB's Thaddäus Wyder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulric Apicella made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 93rd match minute, BSC YB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Bär to maneuver through the defense. Regnier Straub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
