Irenäus Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Accola, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Matt Alessandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Irenäus Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Braga's Irenäus Simon got control of the ball when Matt Alessandro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th play minute Matt Alessandro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Irenäus Simon. 1-0. Placido Accola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irenäus Simon having to interfere. Garin Miani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Irenäus Simon made a huge save. Matt Alessandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Giacomo Bolduc hit a great ball. Mischa Colmano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Irenäus Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Accola in the 36th minute of the match. FCL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Alessandro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giacomo Bolduc charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giacomo Bolduc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Giacomo Bolduc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Placido Accola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giacomo Bolduc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Garin Miani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irenäus Simon came out of the goal and Garin Miani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FCL's Placido Accola in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Braga's goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute, Placido Accola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irenäus Simon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Demetrius Schifferle charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Irenäus Simon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Accola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FCL had played much better football throughout.
