Omer Achen kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Michele Zacchia's late challenge caught a Nascharegnas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michele Zacchia helped the player get up and apologised. Giuseppe Santagapita got in the 13th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Alberto Koller and thus it was 1-0. Horatio Oester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Alberto Koller managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Nascharegnas's Felice Gassmann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Koller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horatio Oester, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Guido Racine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Urfer. Nascharegnas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leone Heller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes of play, Aveiro united's Ulric Mattmann made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Urfer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donato Sevier hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Nascharegnas's Roger Urfer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Nascharegnas from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the game, Donato Sevier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nascharegnas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aveiro united the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nascharegnas's Donato Sevier got a free kick in the 55th minute. Aveiro united's Ulric Mattmann got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Urfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leone Heller in the 58th minute. After 58 played minutes Nascharegnas got a freekick which was hit by Donato Sevier. Horatio Oester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alberto Koller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Horatio Oester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Koller was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Felice Gassmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Koller having to interfere. The supporters of Nascharegnas booed when Aveiro united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Henchoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leone Heller might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Urfer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leone Heller ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Horatio Oester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nascharegnas's supporters rose to their feet, but Horatio Oester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Koller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Koller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horatio Oester in the 81st minute of the match. Nascharegnas's Roger Urfer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Nascharegnas from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Nascharegnas's zone, Leone Heller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Urfer came out of the goal and Leone Heller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Urfer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulric Mattmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 97 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aveiro united walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
