After having played for 18 minutes, Urbain Gräf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbain Gräf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Righetti in the 20th minute of play forced Fc Deaf's goalkeeper Thomas Schuster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbain Gräf struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Thomas Schuster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renens. Renens's Silvanus Bianco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincenzo Jenny in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincenzo Jenny in the 31st minute of play forced Renens's goalkeeper Silvanus Bianco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Deaf's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincenzo Jenny stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvanus Bianco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincenzo Jenny in the 54th minute of play. Silvanus Bianco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Felder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fc Deaf booed when Renens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Wigger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andreas Righetti had several of the Fc Deaf's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Thomas Schuster as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience was convinced that Vincenzo Jenny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvanus Bianco was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Andreas Righetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schuster having to interfere. After 81 minutes of play Fc Deaf's Fabius Hirsch was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st match minute, Fc Deaf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabius Hirsch to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Mike Felder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
