Guglielmo Menz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Arnold Konig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Florian Vetter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clifford Scherer having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guglielmo Menz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Arnold Konig made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 51 played minutes Donald Duck FC got a freekick which was hit by Guglielmo Menz. Andre Achen's late challenge caught a FC Born71's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre Achen helped the player get up and apologised. Andre Achen kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. FC Born71's Arnold Konig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guglielmo Menz in the 56th minute of play. Andre Achen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guglielmo Menz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Boris Visser in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Donald Duck FC's Torsten Oester. When Andre Achen came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Donald Duck FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Achen couldn't finish the play. Arnold Konig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guglielmo Menz in the 68th minute of play. Arnold Konig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guglielmo Menz's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Donald Duck FC's Guglielmo Menz got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guglielmo Menz in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnold Konig saved FC Born71 from getting behind. Arnold Konig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Achen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute, Luther Käuflin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
