Severiano Beschmann's late challenge caught a Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Beschmann helped the player get up and apologised. 4 minutes into the match, Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s Juanito Tanner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dennis Nagel came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s Simone Baer. But to his dismay, Simone Baer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Louis Widmer came free, but Berthold Verplanken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kolja Neeser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Simone Baer made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Nagel. BSC Young Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Atlético Sirnach F.C. booed when BSC Young Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reiner Fiedler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Nagel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignaz Pellandini, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Kolja Neeser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Louis Widmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. BSC Young Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis Widmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berthold Verplanken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s Berthold Verplanken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Widmer in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the BSC Young Boys defense, Ignaz Pellandini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Nagel. The BSC Young Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Nagel should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Reiner Fiedler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 42nd minute Louis Widmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berthold Verplanken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Berthold Verplanken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Widmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, BSC Young Boys's Louis Widmer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berthold Verplanken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Louis Widmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Berthold Verplanken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s Patricius Arnosti got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Louis Widmer came free, but Berthold Verplanken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignaz Pellandini in the 67th minute of play forced BSC Young Boys's goalkeeper Dennis Nagel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Nagel was a little too slow when Ignaz Pellandini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-4. When BSC Young Boys's Kolja Neeser in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Atlético Sirnach F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
