Spectators: 7867 (Terracing: 5902, Seating: 1809, VIP seats: 156) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruce Arsenault kicked off to start the match. After 6 minutes of play, Axenstein's Bruce Arsenault made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jost Oehen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Ville Luotonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, BENFICA's Neil Graf tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of BENFICA booed when Axenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fréderic Moquin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didier Eggimann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Walton Gaillou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BENFICA's Jost Oehen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save BENFICA from getting a goal against them. Axenstein's Fréderic Moquin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jost Oehen but with some difficulty. After 23 played minutes Axenstein got a freekick which was hit by Gerulf Fäh. 26 minutes into the match, BENFICA's goal looked a bit too open when Malvin Estevis came free, but Jost Oehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Fermin Grabiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jost Oehen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvester Studhalter came free, but Walton Gaillou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jost Oehen made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Bruce Arsenault sent off a good shot on target. BENFICA's Jost Oehen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conor Hauser in the 35th minute of play. Fermin Grabiel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes BENFICA got a freekick which was hit by Didier Eggimann. Malvin Estevis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jost Oehen having to interfere. With a little luck, BENFICA's Jost Oehen got control of the ball when Bruce Arsenault tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Malvin Estevis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Malvin Estevis made a precise shot to the right of Jost Oehen. BENFICA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Malvin Estevis's late challenge caught a BENFICA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malvin Estevis helped the player get up and apologised. Malvin Estevis hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Didier Eggimann kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Bruce Arsenault notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of BENFICA's Jost Oehen. Jost Oehen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Fermin Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jost Oehen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruce Arsenault's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Jost Oehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Arsenault in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Fermin Grabiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jost Oehen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Axenstein's zone, Neil Graf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walton Gaillou came out of the goal and Neil Graf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BENFICA's Jost Oehen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruce Arsenault in the 84th minute of play. Conor Hauser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jost Oehen having to interfere. Jost Oehen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Arsenault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walton Gaillou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didier Eggimann in the 90th minute of play. Axenstein were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of BENFICA for a fine match.
