But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunter Schreider couldn't finish the play. Yann Nuessli charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yann Nuessli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, one of Apollo 11:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Apollo 11. In the 10th minute, Silvan Schmidlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geoffrey Bühlmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon Schneebeli's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Silvan Schmidlin charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvan Schmidlin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Saconnex SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvan Schmidlin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Apollo 11's Gunter Schreider got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jon Schneebeli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geoffrey Bühlmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Maxime Bohren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beatus Fröhlicher having to make a save. If Benedetto Hauser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saconnex SC's Geoffrey Bühlmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Saconnex SC from getting a goal against them. Apollo 11's Beatus Fröhlicher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxime Bohren in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to Apollo 11 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Robert Clementia hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxime Bohren to strike the kick off in the second half. Jon Schneebeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Geoffrey Bühlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Schneebeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Schneebeli struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Geoffrey Bühlmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apollo 11. Beatus Fröhlicher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxime Bohren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Apollo 11's goal looked a bit too open when Maxime Bohren came free, but Beatus Fröhlicher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Benedetto Hauser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saconnex SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedetto Hauser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Jon Schneebeli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apollo 11 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 80 minutes into the match, Jon Schneebeli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geoffrey Bühlmann. Saconnex SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jon Schneebeli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Maxime Bohren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Apollo 11's goalkeeper Beatus Fröhlicher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedetto Hauser. With a little luck, Apollo 11's Beatus Fröhlicher got control of the ball when Benedetto Hauser tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maxime Bohren struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Beatus Fröhlicher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saconnex SC. A collision led to Apollo 11 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gunter Schreider hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Apollo 11 fully deserved thier win.
