Beatus Fröhlicher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandy Peavler in the 3rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Alxavier Strickler in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Apollo 11's Lorenzo Neudorf. In the 13th minute, Sandy Peavler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beatus Fröhlicher was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jon Schneebeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beatus Fröhlicher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernhard Malatesta in the 21st minute of play. Lorenzo Neudorf hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Arveyes AC's Rico Bauhofer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Arveyes AC from getting a goal against them. Gunter Schreider in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rico Bauhofer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jago Ziegler during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th minute of the match, Jon Schneebeli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rico Bauhofer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute, Jon Schneebeli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rico Bauhofer, passed just outside the right post. Jon Schneebeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rico Bauhofer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Arveyes AC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernhard Malatesta was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sandy Peavler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Gunter Schreider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rico Bauhofer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Gunter Schreider left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apollo 11 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Mickey Zumsteg walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 71 minutes, Jon Schneebeli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apollo 11's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon Schneebeli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Apollo 11 fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Apollo 11's Jon Schneebeli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 79 played minutes Apollo 11 got a freekick which was hit by Robert Clementia. Arveyes AC's Rico Bauhofer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunter Schreider in the 87th minute of play. Rico Bauhofer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu Hellmüller in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Apollo 11 booed when Arveyes AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Freihofer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Jon Schneebeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rico Bauhofer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Gunter Schreider managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apollo 11's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunter Schreider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rico Bauhofer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Schneebeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the Apollo 11 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
