Spectators: 6767 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Schmitten booed when Fräschels HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Strobel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Schmitten got a freekick which was hit by Hans Campa. Jurij Tomasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuele Wyser having to interfere. Andy Winkler might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuele Wyser. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Winkler ran back to his position shaking his head. When Andy Winkler came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Schmitten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Winkler couldn't finish the play. After having played for 29 minutes, Andy Winkler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schmitten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Winkler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuele Wyser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Winkler, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Andy Winkler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacques Stauber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Griffin Foerster struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Samuele Wyser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schmitten. Schmitten's Donald Brousse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabius Barbonetti in the 60th minute of play. Samuele Wyser made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Andy Winkler sent off a good shot on target. Fabius Barbonetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes, Schmitten's Ralf Neuenschwander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuele Wyser came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Schmitten reached it. 69 minutes into the match, Fräschels HC's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Winkler came free, but Samuele Wyser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Fräschels HC's goal looked a bit too open when Jurij Tomasi came free, but Samuele Wyser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fräschels HC's Joe Amberg got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Schmitten's Jurij Tomasi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 89th minute of the match, Andy Winkler got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuele Wyser was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Schmitten's Andy Winkler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuele Wyser. That made the score 0-2 after 89 minutes of play. Jaime Obrecht kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Fabius Barbonetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donald Brousse having to make a save. Schmitten played a much better game than Fräschels HC and deserved their victory. The Fräschels HC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
