Langenbruck's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Placidus Hottiger scored to the left of an out of position Lionel Scheiber, making the score, 4-1. After 42 played minutes Mike FC got a freekick which was hit by Josias Lautens. In the 45th minute, Dick Fortin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 47th minute, Dick Fortin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mike FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dick Fortin to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Placidus Hottiger notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Langenbruck's Lionel Scheiber. Lionel Scheiber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Garcia Perna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantine Freytag in the 58th minute of play. Guglielmo Fellmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lionel Scheiber. Langenbruck's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Mike FC's Dick Fortin in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Langenbruck's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute of the match Mike FC got a corner. Langenbruck's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarrett Charpie ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mike FC's Jarrett Charpie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lionel Scheiber in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Stante got free with Garcia Perna in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot by Garrick Marthaler from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Garcia Perna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 88th minute, Lars Zweifel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes, Garrick Marthaler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langenbruck and the Mike FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Dick Fortin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lionel Scheiber was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
