Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Gianico started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the game, one of Langenbruck:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for FCIM 1908. Neil Graf stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lionel Scheiber. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Dave Stante made a precise shot to the right of Joshua Brugger. FCIM 1908's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 14th minute, Langenbruck's Peer Meyer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Peer Meyer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Langenbruck protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Peer Meyer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 13th minute, one of Langenbruck:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Langenbruck. When Piero Chalut fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Langenbruck's protests and gave Piero Chalut a yellow card for diving instead. Wilbur Balmer struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lionel Scheiber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCIM 1908. A collision led to Langenbruck getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lars Zweifel hit a great ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Langenbruck's goalie and right to Daniel Gianico. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Langenbruck's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Stante to make the kick off. The long shot by Colin Lötscher in the 53rd minute really tested Lionel Scheiber's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Langenbruck's Lars Zweifel got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Stante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joshua Brugger having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnold Stumpo got free with Lionel Scheiber in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilbur Balmer's late challenge caught a Langenbruck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilbur Balmer helped the player get up and apologised. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Lionel Scheiber successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lionel Scheiber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Gianico in the 78th minute. Arnold Stumpo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Lionel Scheiber made a huge save. If Daniel Gianico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Langenbruck's goalkeeper Lionel Scheiber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnold Stumpo. When Dave Stante came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Langenbruck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Stante couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FCIM 1908's zone, Luis Blaser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joshua Brugger came out of the goal and Luis Blaser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Langenbruck's Dave Stante got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
