The Black Dragons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geronimo Dubler should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the game, SV Affoltern am Albis's Silvio Bizier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geronimo Dubler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Geronimo Dubler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Esposito, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Baptiste Moos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half SV Affoltern am Albis were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baptiste Moos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SV Affoltern am Albis's Gerold Widmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baptiste Moos in the 53rd minute of play. After 71 played minutes, Black Dragons's Arnaldo Zweifel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerold Widmer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Black Dragons reached it. If Julio Esposito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Black Dragons's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Esposito came free, but Geronimo Dubler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SV Affoltern am Albis's Gerold Widmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baptiste Moos in the 76th minute of play.
