With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Schmidlin in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jamal Jeanquartier saved FC Slayer-King from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Neyruz SC's Leonard Zumbrunnen got a free kick in the 17th minute. Geoffroy Weltert kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kolb in the 22nd minute of play forced Neyruz SC's goalkeeper Arturo Figini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Slayer-King's zone, Raphael Schmidlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamal Jeanquartier came out of the goal and Raphael Schmidlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Neyruz SC's Raphael Schmidlin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jamal Jeanquartier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If David Kolb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Neyruz SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
