In the 4th minute, Laurentius Gloeckner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Bieber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heiko Phaneuf having to make a save. 9 minutes into the game, Wolfgang Moquin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Heiko Phaneuf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heiko Phaneuf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wolfgang Moquin went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Wolfgang Moquin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Bieber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Phaneuf having to interfere. Loli's Thomas Bieber got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Loli's Heiko Phaneuf threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thomas Bieber, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Ziegelbrücke FC's Gianni Andermatt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Loli's Heiko Müller shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Heiko Phaneuf but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Bieber in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heiko Phaneuf saved Ziegelbrücke FC from getting behind. The Ziegelbrücke FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heiko Phaneuf should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olivier Soldati to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Claude Grossenbacher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heiko Phaneuf was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Bieber in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Phaneuf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Bieber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Phaneuf having to interfere. Wolfgang Moquin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heiko Phaneuf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Thomas Bieber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Heiko Phaneuf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Thomas Bieber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ziegelbrücke FC's Heiko Phaneuf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Heiko Phaneuf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolfgang Moquin's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ziegelbrücke FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Heiko Müller was slow to take the kick. During this time Loli's players had a chance to rest. Loli's Heiko Müller was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Heiko Phaneuf in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 72 minutes, Beppe Feierabend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beppe Feierabend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heiko Phaneuf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Grossenbacher in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Thomas Bieber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loli's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Bieber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiko Phaneuf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ziegelbrücke FC's Heiko Phaneuf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Bieber in the 79th minute of play. After 81 minutes of play, Loli's Wolfgang Moquin made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heiko Phaneuf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Heiko Phaneuf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Feierabend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Wolfgang Moquin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ziegelbrücke FC the free kick.
