Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Herzog started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Yannis Gisler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mathieu Schwander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nicolai Gmür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Yannis Gisler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathieu Schwander was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Xaver Meyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes 1. FC Hombrechtikon got a freekick which was hit by Xaver Meyer. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Herzog in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolai Gmür saved 1. FC Hombrechtikon from getting behind. Yannis Gisler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Matt Kumschick quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Frankie Massey, made in the 29th minute of the game. After 31 played minutes FC STECKBORN got a freekick which was hit by Guido Gremion. Yannis Gisler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gene Meier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathieu Schwander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Manuel Herzog 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yannis Gisler made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xaver Meyer got free with Mathieu Schwander in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathieu Schwander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yannis Gisler, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Manuel Herzog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolai Gmür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes FC STECKBORN got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Bögli. 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Nicolai Gmür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Herzog in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC STECKBORN's zone, Xaver Meyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathieu Schwander came out of the goal and Xaver Meyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Michael Fah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolai Gmür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Yannis Gisler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Schwander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathieu Schwander made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Xaver Meyer sent off a good shot on target. Nicolai Gmür showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Fah in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Yannis Gisler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC STECKBORN's Mathieu Schwander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Yannis Gisler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mathieu Schwander. Yannis Gisler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 88 played minutes FC STECKBORN got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Bögli. In the 89thth minute of the game Manuel Herzog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1. FC Hombrechtikon's Nicolai Gmür was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Michael Fah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolai Gmür took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Fah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Fah in the 96th minute of play forced 1. FC Hombrechtikon's goalkeeper Nicolai Gmür to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
