Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Manuel Herzog made the kick off which started today's match. In the 11th minute Giancarlo Lehmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Schwander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolf Bolliger during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rolf Bolliger hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Balthasar De la Cruz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FC STECKBORN's Manuel Herzog. But to his dismay, Manuel Herzog quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Duong Franceschini struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mathieu Schwander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MUtti. After a rather tough play, FC STECKBORN's Guido Gremion got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Herzog in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balthasar De la Cruz saved MUtti from getting behind. In the 39th match minute, FC STECKBORN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Bütler to maneuver through the defense. Duong Franceschini came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mathieu Schwander could save by the left post. In the 44th match minute, FC STECKBORN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Bögli to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Giancarlo Lehmann made the kick off in the second half. Mathieu Schwander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giancarlo Lehmann in the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of MUtti booed when FC STECKBORN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Richli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duong Franceschini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Fah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Giancarlo Lehmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Duong Franceschini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Schwander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Giancarlo Lehmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathieu Schwander was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After some careless play in the FC STECKBORN defense, Duong Franceschini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathieu Schwander. The FC STECKBORN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathieu Schwander should have stopped the shot. Michael Fah was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mathieu Schwander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giancarlo Lehmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathieu Schwander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duong Franceschini in the 84th minute of play. Balthasar De la Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Herzog's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Giancarlo Lehmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu Schwander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duong Franceschini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mathieu Schwander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Michael Fah came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC STECKBORN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Fah couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MUtti fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC STECKBORN had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
